    V 4.1 25/12/2002 Corrects a major bug un 4.0 in HP-UX which prevented the creation of new bug-reports. It also corrects a few minor bugs that nobody noticed.

    Also please go in the setup after installation and update de "domain" field in the Gifft Setup. This field should contain your domain name.

    V 3.8 25/08/2002 This version contains the possibility to switch on an authentication mechanism, so that each user will have a password and different options according to which he well be allowed to see fact sheets, statistics, and modify configuration.

    Installation Notes
    When upgrading from 3.6, you will have to do 3 things:

    • Copy the executable to the right place
    • Copy the langage files to your configuration directory
    • Create a "Java" directory right next to the "Images" directory and insert the java class into it.
    V 3.7 25/08/2002 This version contains 3 new graphics in the statistics part:
    • A graph of the flow of incoming (unsolved) and outgoing (solved) sheets per day.
    • A graph of the number of problems to be corrected and to be verified.
    • A graph of the problems to be corrected per severity.

    This version Corrects a small problem of compatibility between Unix and windows versions detected when transferring data files from Unix to PC server. Il seems also that very long lines in some analisys have not been handled properly.

    Installation Notes
    When upgrading from 3.6, you will have to do 3 things:

    • Copy the executable to the right place
    • Copy the langage files to your configuration directory
    • Create a "Java" directory right next to the "Images" directory and insert the java class into it.
    V 3.6 08/07/2002 This version corrects :
    • When you edidted the header or copied the bug reports to a different phase, the previous versions of GIFFT did not check the existence of a report with the same number in the new phase, hence a possible loss of an old sheet.
    • Slight problem in the topics on the mails that where sent.
    V 3.5 22/04/2002 This version corrects :
    • Sometimes when editing the header of sheets, you could see the same sheet several time in the search list. This is now corrected. If you still have this, try Change-Header on the sheet, and click OK without changing anything.
    • Slight problem in the topics on the mails that where sent.
    V 3.4 29/03/2002 This version corrects:
    • The links in the search list have been changed in order to ignore upper and lower-case confusions in sheet names.
    • Small problems in accessing test sheets have been corrected.
    • Using langage files on unix ignores additions 0D characters inserted by windows.
    V 3.3 17/02/2002 This version corrects the bug in the mail sending for Windows
    V 3.2 03/02/2002 This version allows the possibility to choose the display language from English to French. It corrects some problems in the Windows version concerning the passing of arguments. It also changes the size limitation of the "Version" field from 9 to 19 char.

    If you install this version as an upgrade of 3.1, do not forget to copy the three new "langue.*" files into your config directory!

      Known problems:
    • The windows version has problems sending mails. I'm working on it.
    V 3.1 04/11/2001 This version includes the possibility to attach a file to any FFT.
    It also corrects a minor bug in the mail sending mechanism.
    V 3.0 08/07/2001 This version includes the management of test-sheets with severeal testing campaigns, test books, and statistics.
    It also includes more talkative traces, to ease solving problems at startup.
    V 2.03 09/03/2001 The download of the Excel sheet now contains a new column with the project prefix.
    It is now allowed to have several bug-managers and valid-managers per project. The logins are to be insterted in the same box as before in the project setup table, and separated with commas.
